Time for a SELFIE!
Seahorse Education Partnerships CIC would like to welcome you to our session:
Wellbeing in Education -The positive psychology approach.
We believe that education begins with teaching staff. If you are flourishing, the children will thrive.
Positive psychology is the science of optimum human functioning. So how can we use positive psychology to achieve this?
We will open up a space for you to explore some of our strategies for creating more happiness in your personal life and workplace including:
- How to find your ‘flow’
- Practising gratitude
- Introducing Seahorse’s SELFIE technique
- We will also have a ‘takeaway’ menu for you to, well, take away!
Seahorse Education Partnerships CIC are Kelly Bishop, Tracy Richardson and Lee Newitt. We are a not-for-profit positive education company with backgrounds in positive psychology, education, therapy and coaching. We are dedicated to improving the wellbeing of all staff in education as well as children, young people and adults.
We work with schools to build in-house sustainable coaching programmes by first coaching staff and then training staff to become accredited coaches in order to grow their coaching programmes.
We have also developed a mindfulness based digital programme, Amazing Me for the use in classrooms. The programme is a one-year subscription aimed at KS2 complete with lesson plans, animations, short mindfulness recordings, vocabulary builders, a forum for the community of teachers to share ideas and support. Come along and see us at our stand for details on how to trial Amazing Me for free.
We regularly run workshops for schools using evidence based positive psychology interventions. We are happy to tailor our workshops to your school’s interests and needs.
We are really looking forward to bringing you a taste of us to the Teach Well Fest.
